evaluation task 6 summary
what have you larnt about tehnologies from the process of constructing your prodct?
what technologies have you used?
In the process of designing, filming and editing i've been encouraged to use a variaty of different technolgies such as websites like survey monkey and slide share http://www.slideshare.net/ and survey monkey http://www.surveymonkey.com/MySurveys.aspx in order to preform market researh and to easily transfer my presentations on to my blog.the blog itself I have managed to finally compreehend this year and with a struggle I managed to post most of the planning and development that went into the movie on the internet via blogger. I now have internet accounts for blogger, prezi, survey monkey and slideshare so after this year of media it should be pretty easy for someone to steal my identity.during production I leant how to use a digital still camara to take shots of are filming locations and to use a video recording camara to help film are preliminary task and to test how we were going to film the shots of are real thriller with regards to distance from the actors, angles and the length of the shots when editing at first I had almost no idea ho to operate an imac computer at all however over the course i have leanrt a huge ammount as to edit a film with the help of the final cut express programme editing all of the preliminary task and most of the thriller product. I learnt how to use the live type progamme in order to import screen titles for our film and also to compose a piece of music on garage band which I was also able to import then onto the film and over lap the music into the parts of the film we wanted I learnt how to create the ident and then murge that in with our film to give it a more proffesional look wheather I wanted to or not I have leant a wide body of all things technological in this corse so much so that for this evaluation task and task 7 the video we made form them I managed to edit, modify its settings, upload to you tube and the post on my blog all in the space of 2 afternoon lessons which is a big improvement from being a complete computer novice

Evaluation task 7 (summary)
looking back at your preliminary taskwhat do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to your final product?
in the begining when we were first starting up our blogs and we didn't know what are preliminary let alone our thriller was going to be abot o we hurriedly through together some story and got our friends calum thake and parvinder bakhar to star we just wanted somthing quick and funny lik two guys having a normal conversation with some poor dude getting beaten in the background and we actually did a pretty good job of that we had parvider getting punched kicked and strangled with a telephone chord .....................until tom taped over it.so we came back from christmass break finding that we had half our preliminar task missing and that we all looked pretty different esspecialy me having lost about six inches of hair length we tried many different ways to recreate and salvige our film we even thought about starting from skratch but in the end it waas drawing nearer to the time to film the real thriller which we had not even planned so we through together a last minitue ending which dosnt work very well but got the job done.
as you can probably assume we did far better with the eventual filming of are secondary thriller.we made sure that we wern't going to make the same mistake twice so at first we said tom wasn't alowed to film but me and ryan both had to act becuase tom refused and we all agreed no one else would be in it but us to save all the hassel and stress of the preliminary so tom filmed and we got all the filming done in under a week and started editing the next week we cut it close becuase we had left it quite long to start filming but we did get an end result and I am quite pleased with the finished product.

evaluation task 4
Evaluation task 4: who would be the audience for your media product?
This is a wordel it is similar to a brainstorm in how it outlines targets and objectives that we have set out to achive and how we could get them done. At first we needed to define our target audience we new are thriller was going to be a mystery action type and we needed to know who if anyone would be interested with our initial idea (what would they like to see, what would entertain them. We also needed to know how we were going to attract our target audience through advertising, viral campaign or use of techniques (e.g. 3D) we carried out interviews to find our key target audience we asked them question about their movie going habits (how they prefer to watch films, how frequently they tend to go to the cinema)
we also made a survey asking similar questions that can be seen below
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/76DXSH6
the research we did into target audience paid off as we found that the people who would most likely want to watch our thriller is 16-25 year old males. sum of the results of our survey are shown here in a venn diagram which indicates our target audience
after we figured out our target audience we took it into consideration when filming our final thriller we wanted to make sure that we appealed to this group and that they would be interested and want to watch on past the initial 2 minutes. To see if we had achieved this goal we took a secondary survey and asked people to give their honest opinion on what they thought of our thriller and what they thought was good or bad and what they would improve on the link to this survey is below:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FQ79ZFX
we also held a secondary set of interviews to get audience feedback from our thriller. we asked people from our target audience to assess our thriller and tell us what the thought.
This is our feed back on the Thriller the following question was asked
What did you like about the thriller?
What did you like about the use of sound?
What would you improve on in our Thriller?
What did you like about the location?
What did you think overall of the Thriller film?
Would you go and see it at the cinema?

we also had some positive feedback on the comments section on you tube such as:
overall i think we did reach the goals we set out to achieve as we deduced who our target audience is
we made our thriller accessible, entertaining and interesting for them. Most of the feedback we got through our surveys and interviews was positive and the opinion of our piers should as what we had done right, were we had gone wrong and what we could improve on.
